White Heat

"White Heat"(1949) is a film noir directed by Raoul Walsh, and stars James Cagney, Virginia May & Edmond O'Brien. James Gagney plays the lead role of Cody Barrett, a ruthless psychopath and leader of a gang, who-after escaping from prison- plans a daring heist with his old gang. He is befriended-in prison- by an undercover agent who infiltrates the gang after their escape.
